Acciona Windpower is to supply 66MW for a wind farm in the north-east of Brazil.
The contract includes the transport, installation and start-up of the AW125/3000 3MW units and a five-year maintenance contract.
The turbines will be assembled at a plant Acciona opened in Simões Filho in Bahia in December last year.
The towers on which the turbines will be installed are made of concrete- 12 are 120 metres high and 10 are 100 metres – and will be produced by the company in Brazil on a site close to the wind farm.
