Contractor Mammoet has installed the last rotor at the 240MW Ararat wind farm in Australia’s Victoria state.
The company has fitted 75 rotors for the GE 3.2-103 machines of which 61 have already been commissioned by principal construction partner GEDowner.
RJE Global has also completed cable trenching and installation.
GEDowner is working on commissioning and connecting the remaining turbines to cables, as well as site rehabilitation.
Ararat wind farm general manager Stuart Liddell said he is confident the project will be completed on time by 4 May or even ahead of schedule.
The project is co-owed by a consortium of RES, GE, Partners Group on behalf of clients and OPTrust.
