Swedish developer Arise has entered into an agreement with Ownpower Projects Europe to buy the up to 60MW Bröcklingberget wind farm in Bräcke in Sweden.
The company, which had an option to acquire the project from Ownpower, said the wind farm has now entered a stage where Arise finds it “attractive to acquire” and “finalise the development work pending a future sale”.
It said permits for the wind farm have gained legal force but the grid connection remains to be secured.
Arise and Ownpower are developing the project, which is expected to comprise a maximum of 25 turbines.
The final size and realisation of the project “depends on successful optimisation and that the grid connection can be secured”, Arise said.
