Banks Renewables has unveiled several local subcontractors to carry out work on the up to 10MW Lambs Hill wind farm, which will be located north-west of Stockton in the UK.
Work on the four-turbine project start earlier this year, with Cheetham Hill Construction appointed as main contractor.
Yarm-based contractor Cliff Addison Drainage will manage the land drainage elements, with Jem Road Construction surfacing the access roads to be used during the project’s construction.
Stockton Borough Council is providing a team from its horticultural services section to carry out some landscape management work, while two new local jobs have also been created for groundworkers on the site, Banks said.
The Banks Group community relations manager Lewis Stokes said: “Our long-term policy is to appoint locally-based suppliers around all our projects wherever possible, to ensure that we can maximise our investment in the local economy, and we’re pleased to be able to already be working with a number of North East contractors on the Lambs Hill scheme.”
