German grid regulator BNetzA has kicked off the country’s second 200MW combined solar and wind tender.
The auction, which has a 2 November deadline, has a maximum price of 8.75 euro cents a kilowatt-hour, down from 8.84 euro cents in the first sale that closed in April.
Solar dominated the first combined auction with 32 photovoltaic projects taking all of the 210MW capacity sold.
In the latest auciton, BNetzA has defined several administrative districts in which the share of renewables in relation to the load is already high and where bids will incur an additional charge.
The measure is designed to reduce the need for reinforcement of the distribution grid in these regions, the agency said.
The minimum capacity for projects eligible for the auction is 750kW, BNetzA said. Installations will mostly be accepted up to 10MW, but in some districts the ceiling is 20MW.
Developers will need to have received a construction permit and register the projects by 11 October.
