Swiss outfit BKW Group has acquired four wind farms totalling 49MW in France and has an option to buy a fifth 16MW project from Samfi Invest.
One of the wind farms has been operational since May, while the remainder are under construction or in the planning phase and are expected to be operational by 2018.
The four projects comprise 22 turbines and are expected to produce nearly 120GWh of electricity a year.
Law firm Paul Hastings advised BKW Group on the deal.
