The Scottish Borders Council planning committee has rejected Livos Energy’s proposal for an eight-turbine wind farm at Howpark.
The company had planned to install 100-metre hardware between Greencoat’s 28MW Drone Hill and RES’s 28MW Penmanshiel projects.
The Howpark project was rejected on the grounds that the area already has too many wind turbines.
The rejection came despite a recommendation for approval by the chief planning officer.
