Broadwind Energy has announced that it has received $8m in new tower orders from a US wind turbine manufacturer.
The towers will be produced at Broadwind’s facility in Manitowoc, Wisconsin for delivery in 2016.
The company believes that changes to production tax credits have helped deliver the new orders.
Broadwind interim chief executive Stephanie Kushner said: “The production tax credit that was passed just a few weeks ago is having an immediate impact on the industry by bringing late-stage order discussions such as this one to closure.”
