Tower manufacturer Broadwind Energy has secured $28m order from an unnamed US wind turbine manufacturer.
The Illinois company said the towers will be fabricated in its Manitowoc, Wisconsin facility for delivery in 2016.
Broadwind is continuing late-stage discussions to fill the company’s remaining capacity for 2016 and beyond.
Interim chief executive Stephanie Kushner said: “Our experienced team in Manitowoc has built more than 2000 wind towers since 2008 for multiple customers.”
