Czech utility CEZ Group has acquired eight wind farms in Germany totalling 85.25MW from subsidiaries of WPD.
The projects, which have all been commissioned, have 35 turbines in total and are located in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Hesse.
CEZ said operating support for the projects is being provided by WPD Windmanager.
All the wind farms benefit from 20-year feed-in tariffs, the Czech company added.
CEZ chief renewables and development officer Tomáš Pleskac said: “We are still interested in not only completed onshore projects but also offshore projects and projects under development.”
The latest acquisitions add to the 12.8MW Fohren-Linden wind farm in Rhineland-Palatinate, which CEZ bought from asset manager Aream earlier this month.
