Renewable energy developer Windvision is to sell the 81MW Estinnes wind farm in the Walloon region of Belgium to CGN Europe Energy, a subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Corp.
The project comprises 11 Enercon E126 turbines and has been operating for five years.
Windvision, which developed, built and operates the project, will continue to operate the wind farm once the deal closes.
The sale is expected to close before the end of the year.
Windvision chief executive Stephan Moelans said: “The income of this transaction, will help to realize Windvision’s development pipeline which comprises up to 2000MW of renewable energy projects by 2021.”
