Renewables infrastructure contractor Decmil has won a A$79m contract for balance of plant (BoP) works at the 214MW Yandin wind farm in Western Australia.
Vestas awarded the contract for the works, which will start in mid-2019.
Decmil’s cope of works includes the design and construction of the civil and electrical infrastructure for the wind farm, including turbine bases, access tracks, site cabling, switch room and substation.
Earlier this year Vestas won a contract from developer Alinta Energy to supply turbines and engineering, procurement and construction services to Yandin.
The A$400m project is due online by mid-2020 and is the state’s largest wind farm.
The BoP project is Decmil’s second with Vestas and it follows the award of the Warradarge wind farm balance of plant works.
