Deutsche Windtechnik has signed two new full-service contracts for wind turbines with a total output of more than 400MW with unnamed developers in Spain.
The first contract covers maintenance for twelve wind farms with a total of 357 Gamesa wind turbines (355MW) over a period of five years.
This also includes the G4X turbine type, which is being added to Deutsche Windtechnik’s portfolio for the first time.
The second contract covers full maintenance for Vestas V90 turbines with an output of 54MW.
A new, highly flexible maintenance concept that is tailored to the customer’s needs will be implemented for this work.
Deutsche Windtechnik managing director in Spain Diego Botero García said: “More than 400MW of new contracts are clear proof of our growth and that Deutsche Windtechnik’s strategy of improving service quality and adapting to customer maintenance requirements is successful.
“These two comprehensive contracts demonstrate the customer’s trust in our services.
“We are very much looking forward to further cooperation and are proud that we have convinced major operators in Spain of the quality and high safety standards of our services.”
The two contracts strengthen Deutsche Windtechnik’s position in Spain as a whole in the long term, but especially in the key regions of Aragon and Catalonia, where both the new projects are located.
In order to be able to shoulder these new service tasks, 30 service technicians were recruited just for the new projects.
In addition, the companies actively building up its office staff to be optimally prepared for further growth over the coming years.
