EDF Energies Nouvelles (EN) has commissioned four wind farms in the US totalling 708.6MW.
The projects are the 225MW Great Western facility in northeast Oklahoma, the 184MW Kelly Creek scheme in northeast Illinois, the 174MW Salt Fork and 125.6MW Tyler Bluff wind farms both in north Texas.
EDF EN said 96MW of the output from the Tyler Bluff project will be sold to Procter & Gamble to cover the electricity needs of all its North American-based fabric and home care plants.
Google has a contract to buy the electricity generated by the Great Western wind farm, while cloud computing company Salesforce has a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 24MW from the Salt Fork plant, the developer added.
The company said it has also signed a 20-year PPA with Marine Clean Energy for power from the 150MW Desert Harvest solar farm in southern California.
