EDF has been granted planning permission on appeal for the long-delayed 54MW Braemore wind farm in the Scottish Highlands.
Ministers granted the go-ahead for the Section 36 wind farm near Lairg following seven years in planning and a public inquiry.
Braemore was originally developed by EDF partner Wind Prospect and will feature 18 turbines of up to 126 metres.
The wind farm was reduced during the planning process for an original 27-turbine layout, first to 24 turbines and then to the final design.
Braemore is expected to feature 3MW hardware. Highland Council objected to the reduced plans in 2015.
