EnBW has signed a usage agreement for its proposed Neubulach onshore wind farm.
The project will see five new wind turbines built on municipal land two on the northwest of the Martinsmoos district and three others in the infrastructurally stressed area of the landfill west of the Oberhaugstett district.
The wind energy project in Neubulach is currently in the early stages of planning. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in 2026.
The project is expected to enter operations from 2027.
“We are very happy that we as a city can make our contribution to generating renewable energy and overcoming the climate crisis with the planned wind turbines and that we have a powerful partner at our side in EnBW,” said Neubulach Mayor Petra Schupp.
EnBW team leader Michael Soukup added: “Our collaboration with the city of Neubulach is characterised by mutual trust and valuable support. I would like to thank Mayor Schupp very much for this. After the good cooperation with the Calw district office on our wind farm project in Bad Wildbad, we can now certainly count on joint success in this project too.”
