Eneco has acquired a trio of wind turbines from Eni Belgium as part of a wider acquisition of the company.
The developer said the deal will give it “greater strength” to bet on Belgian wind and solar.
Eneco chief growth officer Kees-Jan Rameau said the purchase “fits in well” with the company’s strategy.
“We want to grow in supplying renewable energy to customers, grow in developing smart energy services, and grow in several North-West European countries among which in Belgium, where we have been active for years.
“Thanks to the acquisition of Eni Belgium, Eneco has now placed itself in an excellent position for the future.”
The deal includes the acquisition of Eni’s gas and power businesses in the country.
