Enel Green Power has grid-connected the over 14MW Oriche wind farm in Spain.
The 14.4MW facility is located in the districts of Allueva, Anadon and Fonfria in the province of Teruel and represented an investment €14.8m.
Oriche comprises four 3.6MW turbines and will generate close to 48 gigawatt-hours of electricity a year.
In 2019, Enel Green Power Spain brought online 13 wind farms in the Aragon region, in the provinces of Teruel and Zaragoza, with a combined capacity of 424MW.
This year the company plans to connect another 82MW of wind capacity in these provinces.
The construction of this renewable capacity is part of Endesa’s, of which Enel Green Power Spain is its renewable energy subsidiary, strategy to fully decarbonise its generation mix by 2050.
In line with the company’s latest Strategic Plan, the next milestone in this process is to reach 10.2GW of installed clean power capacity by 2022, from an estimated 7.4GW by the end of 2019.
The total investment will amount to around €3.8bn.
Through Enel Green Power Spain, Endesa currently manages over 7452MW of renewable energy capacity in Spain, including 4712MW from conventional hydro generation, 2308MW of wind, 352MW of solar, 80MW of mini-hydro and other 14MW of other renewable sources.
