Enel Green Power Spain has grid connected the 18MW Canaseca wind farm in the provinces of Teruel and Zaragoza.
The overall investment for the project, which is located in the towns of Blesa and Moyuela, is €21.93m, Enel said.
Canaseca comprises five turbines, each with individual power of 3.6MW.
It will generate around 55.28 gigawatt-hours of electricity a year and avoid approximately 25.740 tonnes of CO2 being emitted into the atmosphere annually.
In 2019, Enel Green Power Spain connected 13 wind farms in Aragon located in the Teruel and Zaragoza provinces, with total combined annual capacity of 424MW.
By 2020, it plans to supply 82MW of new wind power in both provinces.
Construction of this renewable capacity is part of Enel Green Power strategy to fully decarbonise its generation mix by 2050, the company said.
The next milestone is to achieve 10.2GW of renewable installed capacity by 2022, up from the 7.4GW estimated for the end of 2019, with a total investment of €3.8bn.
Enel Green Power currently manages 7477.5MW of renewable capacity in Spain.
Conventional hydro accounts for 4669MW, with 2377MW from wind, 352MW solar, 79MW small hydro and and other renewable energy sources 0.5MW.
