Energia has completed the installation of 20 turbines at the 95MW Meenadreen wind farm in Ireland’s northwest.
Turbine installation is more than half way complete at the Donegal site with a further 18 machines due to be installed by end-September.
A total of 38 Nordex N90/2500s will feature at the €145m project, which is on schedule to be commissioned by the end of the year.
Meenadreen will become Ireland’s largest wind farm once commissioned.
Civil works have been carried out by Denis Moriarty, while electrical engineering has been tackled by the Kirby Group.
Nordex will also provide a 15-year service deal in addition to the 2.5MW turbines.
