Envision Energy will install its 2.5MW turbines at four wind farms totalling 185MW in Argentina, following the country’s first renewable energy auction.
The Chinese manufacturer said it will also deploy its proprietary Wind OS energy management software solution at the unnamed projects.
Each of the wind farms are expected to reach commercial operation in the first quarter of 2019, Envision said.
The auction, known as RenovAR, received a total of 123 bids of which 17 were successful – 12 wind, four solar and one biogas.
Envision group executive director Felix Zhang said: “Envision has been closely watching Argentina over the last few years together with our partners, as we expect it to be one of the most promising emerging global wind markets.”
