Eolus North America has formed a joint venture with ZCF Wind Wall to develop and construct a wind farm near Tehachapi in California.
The North American arm of Swedish developer Eolus Vind has agreed to acquire a 60% membership interest in Wind Wall Development from ZCF.
The joint venture also plans to develop other wind energy projects in the western US.
Eolus North America added that it has also placed an order with Vestas for turbine components totalling 40MW.
The order is part of a master supply agreement that builds on a 25-year long relationship with Vestas, Eolus said.
