ERG Eolienne France has bought five unnamed French companies that own three wind farms totalling 38MW from the Luxembourg company Long Wind France.
The unnamed wind farms are located in the French regions of Hauts de France, Center Vallee de la Loire and Nouvelle Aquitaine.
They have been operating since between 2020 and 2012, and generate on average 70 gigawatt-hours of electricity a year.
ERG said the deal has an enterprise value of €39.6m.
ERG chief executive Luca Bettonte said: “ERG continues its growth in France, acquiring wind farms which, due to their industrial, financial characteristics and geographical location, can be immediately integrated into our generation portfolio.
“With this operation we strengthen our position in the onshore wind market in the country, bringing the installed capacity to around 400MW.”
Norton Rose was legal advisor to ERG, while PwC was accounting and tax advisor and DNV GL technical advisor.
