ERG has completed construction and started operations at the 47MW Corlacky wind farm in Northern Ireland.
The project consists of 11 Vestas V117 turbines rated at 4.3MW each and is expected to generate around 176GWh of electricity annually, equivalent to approximately 3750 full-load hours.
ERG said the output will avoid 66,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year and meet the electricity needs of approximately 55,360 UK households.
The energy and associated Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin from the project are secured under a power purchase agreement signed earlier this year.
ERG chief executive Paolo Merli said: “The start-up of the Corlacky wind farm, located in an area with strong wind resources, confirms the strength of the Group’s growth strategy and reinforces our position in the United Kingdom, where we have 340MW of installed wind capacity.”
