Enefit Green is preparing for the installation of the final turbine at its Kelme 2 wind farm project in Lithuania.
The main crane has been relocated for the installation of the final turbine at the 87MW project (pictured).
Enefit Green project manager Rokas Smilingis hailed the latest update as a major milestone for the wind farm.
“Although the process was delayed due to strong winds, I see this as a good sign,” he said. “Soon, the wind farm will begin generating 86.8MW of clean energy, supplying the grid with high-quality green power. This will have a positive impact across all Baltic countries.
“I’m honoured to be part of this journey toward a more sustainable future with a great team.”
Located in the western part of Lithuania, the Kelme 2 wind farm follows on from Enefit Green’s 80MW Kelme 1 array.
Kelme 2, which is expected to produce around 315GWh of electricity per year, will be the company’s largest wind farm in Lithuania.
