OX2 has acquired a Swedish wind farm project from Eolus and Dala Vind.
The planned Fageråsen wind farm is currently in the late development stage and will comprise up to 34 turbines in five areas of the Dalarna region.
The wind farm’s estimated annual production capacity of around 700GWh corresponds to about 14% of Dalarna County’s yearly electricity consumption.
Fageråsen is located in electricity price area 3 (SE3) and has received the necessary permits to go ahead.
OX2’s country manager for Sweden Emelie Zakrisson (pictured) said: “This acquisition aligns with our strategy to accelerate access to renewable energy while strengthening our role as an owner of energy infrastructure.
“Eolus and Dala Vind have done a great job developing the project and guiding it through the permitting process.
“We now look forward to moving ahead and putting the shovel in the ground.”
OX2 is acquiring the project with the ambition to complete construction and remain as the long-term owner and operator.
The Fageråsen wind farm will become part of OX2’s growing portfolio of energy parks and is scheduled to be fully operational by early 2028.
