Neo Industrial subsidiary Reka Cables is to provide 210 kilometres of medium voltage cabling for three onshore wind farms with a combined capacity of 420MW in Norway.
Finnish outfit Reka Cables in cooperation with Norwegian network construction company Linka will provide 36kV MV wires from its Dryrex Wind product line for the Geitfjellet, Harbaksfjellet and Kvenndalsfjellet projects.
Construction of the wind farms started last year and is scheduled for completion in 2020.
The projects will supply 1401 gigawatt-hours of electricity a year when operational.
Reka Cables and Neo Industrial chief executive Ralf Sohlstrom said: “As renewable energy is increasing rapidly in Europe, Reka Cables has developed high-quality cable solutions specifically for wind power applications.
“We are proud of being part of the development towards more sustainable energy production.”
