Finnish utility Fortum and local partner Rusnano have started implementing a 50MW wind farm in Russia.
The project, which is the first of 1GW of wind farms awarded to the partners in Russia’s auction in June, will feature 14 Vestas turbines.
The wind farm is expected to come online in the first half of 2019.
Fortum’s equity stake in joint venture with Rusnano is currently €220m, the Finnish company said.
