Eolus has completed foundation construction for the 147MW Pienava wind farm in Latvia.
The wind farm will be Latvia’s largest and is due to be commissioned in the first half of 2027.
It will be equipped with 21 Nordex N163/6.X turbines, and is being built by Eolus on behalf of Latvenergo.
Gatis Počs, Eolus Project Manager, said: “The project promotes the development of the local market by involving Latvian companies and increasing their capacity for the implementation of large-scale renewable energy projects.
“Both tax revenues and local service orders remain in Latvia, such as various research and work supervision, design, materials and their supplies, assembly and earthworks, etc.”
About 70-80 specialists worked on the construction of each foundation, Eolus said.
