Gamesa has installed its 1000th wind turbine in Brazil, since it entered the market six years ago.
The Spanish manufacturer said the machines installed in the South American country have a total capacity of about 2GW.
It said the milestone was reached after the Campo dos Ventos and São Benedito wind farms, operated by CPFL Renováveis, were commissioned.
Gamesa said it has a 17% market share in Brazil.
It also services close to 2GW for various customers under operations and maintenance agreements.
