Gamesa has won an order to supply turbines for Avangrid Renewables’ 298MW El Cabo wind farm in New Mexico.
The company said it will install 142 G114-2.1 MW machines in what is one of its largest orders ever.
The turbines will start to be delivered next March, with commercial operations beginning in June.
Gamesa said it has installed 4338MW of wind capacity in the US to date.
US utility Avangrid is the result of the merger between Iberdrola and UIL Holdings Corporation.
