GE Renewable Energy is to supply turbines totalling 300MW for Invenergy’s Santa Rita wind farm in Texas.
The deal involves a total of 120 GE 2.5-116 90-meter turbines, which are expected to be commissioned by the end of the year.
GE will also provide digital wind farm systems, including software with asset performance management analytic capabilities and cyber security through its SCADA secure edition.
GE onshore wind business president and chief executive Pete McCabe said: “Invenergy and GE have a long history of successfully working together to provide several gigawatts of affordable, reliable, sustainable energy.
“We are pleased to continue this relationship as we develop the Santa Rita Wind Farm and bring more renewable energy to Texas.”
