Invenergy Renewables has reached financial close on the 300MW Santa Rita wind energy center in Texas.
Morgan Stanley and affiliates acted as sole lead arranger, administrative agent and lender for the finance.
Invenergy said construction is already underway at the project site in Reagan, Irion and Crockett counties.
The project will feature 120 GE 2.5MW turbines.
Over 300 jobs will be created during construction and 15 full-time positions once operational.
The project will generate $100m in local economic development in its first 20 years of operation through tax and lease payments and wages and benefits to employees.
Invenergy president and chief operating officer Jim Murphy said: “We’re pleased to have reached financial close for our Santa Rita project.
“Santa Rita adds to our growing portfolio in Texas, where we have developed more than two and a half gigawatts of energy generation.”
