French wind and solar project operator Greensolver is further targeting the UK market through a new joint venture with local renewables developer Infinergy.
Greensolver UK will provide technical support and commercial management services to operational wind and solar projects across the country, the companies said.
The French company already has a relationship with Infinergy, operating six of its wind farm developments. “It was, however, important for us to keep our technical services offer independent, hence this joint venture only concerns technical and commercial management of operational assets,” Greensolver CEO Guy Auger said.
That means technical due diligence, construction project management and advisory services will still be provided by Greensolver’s Paris-based arm.
“As a developer, it was very important for us to build up our knowledge of the operational side of things in order to develop new projects better,” Infinegy CEO Esbjorn Wilmar said.
