SSE is delivering Vestas components from both the east and west coast to the 110MW Bhlaraidh wind farm in Highland Scotland.
Components such as nacelles and towers will depart from the port of Inverness each morning for the project site near Invermoriston at the southern end of the Great Glen.
Turbine blades being stored on Skye, following initial delivery earlier this year to Kyle of Lochalsh, will ship out for the project site each afternoon.
“The police escort will esnure the safe movement of these large delivery vehicles throughout their journey,” said SSE.
The initial six Vestas turbines went up at Bhlaraidh before a winter construction break. Deliveries resumed earlier this spring.
The 32-turbine wind farm is due to be operational later this year.
