Canadian company Innergex Renewable Energy has commissioned the 44.5MW Rougemont 2 wind farm in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France.
The project, which was under construction at the time of the acquisition in May, is expected to have an average production of 100,340 megawatt-hours a year.
Innergex has a 69.55% interest in the facility with the remainder owned by Desjardins Group Pension Plan.
The electricity produced by Rougemont 2 will be sold at a fixed price to Électricité de France under an initial 15-year power purchase agreement.
Innergex president and chief executive Michel Letellier said: “Innergex is pleased to see another project come to fruition, on time and on budget, with this commissioning. We now have 317MW in operation in France.”
He said the company would continue to “vigorously pursue development” to help grow its portfolio of assets.
