EnergyPro Analytics and Galetech Energy Services have formed a new joint venture to manage wind farms in Ireland.
The partnership will look after a long-term roster of some 180MW and is expected to seek out more asset management work. It will be called EnergyPro Asset Management.
Galetech director Donogh O’Brien said the company’s 24/7 control centre and EnergyPro’s 20-year experience will give customers “real added value” on their assets.
“As Ireland continues to develop its renewable energy sector, EnergyPro Asset Management can help developers and investors maximise the return from their projects.”
EnergyPro director Sheila Layden said an initial team of 18 will “grow substantially” in the coming years.
“As more and more wind farms come under the ownership of non-energy companies, there is a clear market opportunity for our business,” she said.
