Bord na Mona has appointed Jennings O’Donovan & Partners as owner’s engineer for the Owenniny 3 wind farm in Ireland.
The latest phase of Ireland’s largest onshore wind project will see 18 new turbines installed in County Mayo, along with key infrastructure designed to support national and EU climate goals.
The development will help accelerate Ireland’s transition to 80% renewable electricity by 2030, in line with the Climate Action Plan 2024, according to Bord na Mona.
It will also enhance national energy security and support low-carbon growth across key economic sectors, the developer.
Bord na Mona is working to scale a 5GW renewables pipeline spanning wind, solar, biomass and biogas.
“We continue to work with trusted partners to deliver transformative energy solutions, while investing in the communities we serve,” it stated on social media.
