LM Wind Power has extended its partnership with Enercon through a new contract to produce onshore wind blades.
The LM78.3 blades will support Enercon’s E160 EP5 turbine, a key product for wind energy markets across Germany and other European countries, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.
Under the multi-year agreement, production will take place at LM Wind Power’s Dabaspet facility in India.
Hanif Mashal, chief executive of LM Wind Power, said: “This contract extension reflects the strength of our long-term collaboration with Enercon.
“We are honoured to continue supporting the OEM’s efforts to expand renewable energy solutions worldwide while reinforcing our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability in the wind energy industry.”
This milestone marks a significant step in LM Wind Power’s enduring partnership with the wind turbine manufacturer, which began in 2018.
The E-160 EP5 turbine, powered by LM’s advanced blade technology, continues to play a pivotal role in meeting the growing demand for renewable energy in established and emerging markets alike, the company said.
LM Wind Power is proud to continue driving progress in renewable energy alongside industry leaders, reaffirming our commitment to providing high-quality, innovative solutions for the global energy transition, it added.
