Nordex has booked 1GW-worth of orders of wind turbine orders in the first three months of this year.
The orders, which have a combined generating capacity of 1035MW, are destined for projects in 13 countries.
Europe accounts for 41% of the total order volume in the first quarter, Latin America for 44% and the rest of the world, including Australia, 15%.
Nordex said its latest Delta4000 series accounts for more than 35% the order intake.
In addition to the projects previously announced, mainly in Europe, Nordex recently won a 198MW order from Latin America.
The German manufacturer will supply 38 of its N149/4.0-4.5 from the Delta4000 series, as well as service the units under a multi-year deal.
Installation is scheduled for the third quarter of 2019.
Nordex chief executive Jose Luis Blanco said: “We continue to see strong demand for our wind turbines.
“Particular interest is being triggered by the Delta4000 series, which we managed to sell for the first time outside Europe, specifically in Australia and Argentina, in the first quarter.”
In the first quarter Nordex also secured a turbine order of over 157MW from Acciona Energy Australia for the Mortlake South wind farm in the state of Victoria.
The deal is for the installation of 35 N149/4.0-4.5 machines rated at 4.5MW from the Delta 4000 series. Completion of the 157.5MW wind farm is expected in mid-2020.
