Nordex has secured a 40MW wind turbine order for a project in Germany.
DenkerWulf, one of the earliest wind farm developers in the country, has ordered seven N149/5.X turbines from Nordex, which will also service the hardware for 20 years.
The 5.7MW units of the Delta4000 series will be installed at the Waabs wind farm project near Eckernforde in Schleswig-Holstein.
They will be supplied in the first half of 2025.
Nordex’s vice president region central Karsten Bruggemann said: “We are very pleased that DenkerWulf have once again opted for our technology.
“We appreciate the trust placed in us.
“To help shape the sustainable energy landscape for the region with this project makes us very proud as a supplier of the turbines and we look forward to working together again in the future.”
DenkerWulf chief executive Torsten Levsen added: “The current deal flow with Nordex makes it possible to conclude contracts quickly and straightforwardly.
“Normally we only have to talk about site parameters. Of course, this is hugely beneficial to our aim of optimising projects and processes as far as possible.”
DenkerWulf’s first installations date back to 1991 and since then it has installed more than 900 turbines equal to an installed capacity of 1.8GW.
