Nordex has inked a deal to supply turbines totalling 110MW to the Soke wind farm in Turkey.
The German manufacturer will deliver 23 N149/4.0-4.5 units each rated at 4.8MW for operator Ulusoy Enerji. Hub heights will be 105 metres.
Rotors, towers and anchor cages will all be made in Turkey.
A 10-year service contract is included for the project, which is being built near the city of Aydin in the west of the country.
Soke is due to be completed by the end of 2020. Average wind speeds are 6.5 metres per second.
“This is Ulusoy Enerji’s first wind project, and for the Nordex Group, another reference project with turbines from the Delta4000 series, this time in Turkey,” said Nordex chief sales officer Patxi Landa.
Nordex is currently installing 266MW of capacity in the country, all of which is due online by end-2020.
