Nordex has banked wind turbine orders across Europe totalling almost 200MW
Deals have been signed for projects in Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, France, Germany and Croatia by 12 customers, including developers, utilities and community-owned wind farms, the German manufacturer said.
Construction of some of the facilities is expected to start before the end of this year and the rest in 2020.
The turbine models that will be used in the various projects are the N100/3000, N117/3600, N117/3900, N131/3300 and N149/4.0-4.5 turbines.
These contracts with the 12 customers are in addition to recent deals announced by the company in Spain and in Scotland.
Earlier this month Nordex secured its first deal to supply 10 of its N133/4.8MW-rated turbines from the Delta4000 series for the 46MW Crossdykes project in Scotland, which is being developed on a merchant basis by Muirhall Energy.
Construction of the project 13km north-east of Lockerbie is to start this year.
The N149/4.0-4.5 turbine of the latest turbine platform Delta4000 has been popular since launching, according to Nordex, which has received orders amounting to more than 1.95GW worldwide for the model.
Out of this, 819MW is for projects in Europe, 806MW for North America and 328MW across Latin America and Australia.
