Nordex Group has secured a 120MW turbine supply and installation order from Balıkesir Elektrik Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim ve Satış AŞ, a subsidiary of Efor Holding, for the R25-Balıkesir-2 wind farm in Türkiye.
The company said the contract includes 18 N175/6.X turbines on 119-metre tubular steel towers and a 10-year Premium Service agreement.
Efor Holding added the project marks its third wind farm with Nordex Group and forms part of its renewable energy strategy under the YEKA framework.
The site is located around 35 kilometres northwest of Balıkesir, with turbines to be installed at elevations between 425 and 680 metres above sea level.
Installation of the first turbine is scheduled for March 2027, with commissioning planned for August 2027.
“This project we are bringing to life represents a significant step in strengthening our energy portfolio,” said İbrahim Akkuş, chairman of the board of Efor Holding.
“Our 120 MW wind power plant project in Balıkesir, developed under the YEKA RES-2025 tender, constitutes an important part of our sustainable growth strategy.”
“With the new project, we are continuing our trusted partnership with Efor Holding while supporting Türkiye’s ambitious renewable energy targets,” said Ender Ozatay, vice president region Türkiye and Mid East of the Nordex Group.
“The N175/6.X turbines are ideally suited for this site and combine high efficiency with cold climate performance.”
