Pattern Energy is to transfer a 90MW share in the 180MW Armow wind farm in Ontario to its listed company.
The renewables developer said it was in final talks with group company Pattern Energy Group LP which developed the site.
The transaction is expected to close within 45 days, the company said.
“Armow will expand our portfolio to 17 operating projects and one project we have committed to acquire which is under construction,” said chief executive Mike Garland.
Samsung Renewable Energy owns the other 50% share in the project which has been in commercial operation since December 2015.
