German wind developer PNE Wind has appointed Markus Lesser as its new chief executive.
Lesser (pictured) will take the reins from interim boss Per Hornung Pedersen on 26 May and will see his contract extended until the end of 2019, the Cuxhaven company said.
He has worked for more than 25 years in the international energy sector and has been with PNE’s management board since May 2011.
Lesser said: “In these turbulent times, it is a particular challenge to assume the chairmanship of the Management Board. We will now sharpen our focus on the implementation of our strategy for the marketing the portfolio of wind farms, which are currently pooled in the treasury stock.
“In addition, it is nevertheless crucial to also adapt the project development to new framework conditions both in Germany and abroad and to make it fit for the future.”
