Offshore wind and renewables development have escaped job cuts announced by French energy giant Engie.
A spokesman said the relevant departments would not be affected by reorganisation plans announced this week.
The energy company currently splits headquarter duties between Paris, Brussels and London but this will be rationalised via the closure of the latter.
Engie is reducing the number of employees across the offices by 504 including 312 people in France, 116 in Belgium and 76 in the UK.
The company will not lay off anybody but rely to voluntary redundancies.
Engie employs a total of 153,000 people worldwide and is planning on hiring an additional 12,000 this year.
