RES offloads French wind duo

Acofi Gestion has acquired the 12MW Bois de Bajouve and 18MW Monts de l’Ain wind farms in France from RES on behalf of its Transition Energétique France fund.

RES and Acofi Gestion together with Norddeutsche Landesbank (Nord LB) also announced that they have closed €45.7m in financing for the projects.

Bois de Bajouve is located in the L’Ain region and comprises six 2MW Vestas turbines, while Monts de l’Ain is situated in Puy-de-Dômenine and consists of nine 2MW Senvion machines.

RES developed and constructed the wind farms and will carry out technical management now the projects are operational.

Acofi Gestion head of infrastructure funds Philippe Garrel said: “With this transaction, Acofi has expanded the portfolio of wind and solar projects built up since 2015 on behalf of its fund, Transition Energétique France.

“This transaction is also the beginning of a promising partnership with RES and a relationship with Nord LB.”

Nord LB senior director Pedro Capote said: “We are delighted to have successfully concluded financial close of these two challenging wind farms, providing support all the way to the very professional teams of Acofi and RES with Nord LB structuring skills and commitment.”
