RES Techservice (RTS) has deployed one of its ZX 300 wind Lidars in Ukraine.
The device has been installed around 1300m above mean sea level in the Carpathian Mountain range where it is measuring wind speeds as part of a one-year wind campaign.
RTS supported their client with the installation and associated turnkey services, including a specialised power trailer and autonomous supply consisting of a methanol fuel cell and battery set.
Senior Sales Manager at ZX Lidars, Matthew Smith commented: “Having recently attended the Black Sea Energy Week conference, and hearing first-hand how Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Energy, Yaroslav Demchenkov, laid out the countries plans for their energy system to become more resilient and sustainable; I am delighted to see one of our Lidars deployed, supporting renewable energy project development in Ukraine”.
