Chinese wind turbine maker Sany Renewable Energy has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new factory in Kazakhstan’s Jambyl Region.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Yerbol Karashukeyev, the governor of the Jambyl Region, Nurlan Zhakupov, the chairman of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Jiang Wei, consul general of China in Almaty and Zhou Fugui, chairman of Sany Renewable Energy.
Sany’s wind power manufacturing base is located in the Economic Zone of the Jambyl region.
The company said the facility is designed to achieve high standards of environmental safety and energy efficiency.
Zhakupov said that Samruk-Kazyna JSC plans to deepen cooperation with Sany, jointly promoting the improvement of energy efficiency and the development of green economy in Kazakhstan.
Fugui added that the location will host a “world-class benchmark factory for intelligent manufacturing”.
Sany has also pledged to “accelerate localised development and make positive contributions to Kazakhstan’s new energy development and environmental protection”.
